Thankful Thursday

Is it really Thursday? I cannot believe how quickly this past week flew by. Oh, Lord, help us to appreciate each moment and not let the little important treasures be overshadowed by the pressing needs of our day and our lives...

I am thankful to the Lord that I was able to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends over the past two days. I am especially grateful for having some truly special friends that are part of my family in Christ...and to have the privilege of witnessing our Abba use them as vessels of His love.

Throughout the year, God has shown me His care for my soul, His tenderness toward my needs, His understanding of my deep need for Fatherly love through the love of my friends, my husband, and my children. Now that is a gift to be thankful for indefinitely!

On a lighter note, I am thankful that my dear hubby heard my longing for a special bag that I wanted and bought it for me for my birthday! (Yes, this was the birthday year of bags!) It is the brown one in the picture and reads, "With God All Things Are Possible! Mark 10:27". This has been a precious theme God has been gently been teaching me over this summer. What makes these bags extra special is that they sold by Leigh Gray to support her speaking ministry--something I dream of doing one day, too. So, it is more than just a bag...it somewhat symbolizes a dream that I've had to trust God with...a dream that does seem impossible to me, but just may not be impossible to Him!

Thanks for stopping in to read my Thankful Thursday thoughts. Head over to Sting My Heart to read other thankful posts!

P.S. Be sure to check out Leigh's collection of bags if you're looking for a real treat for yourself or a special gift for someone you love. They are really adorable! Head over to her website for more details!

Thank you for your comment on my blog. I appreciate what you shared in your thankful list as well. My husband is so precious to me. You see, the way he loves me reminds me of God's love for His children. My husband has and continues to be an example of unconditional, unfailing love. I love the way you put the following:

"Throughout the year, God has shown me His care for my soul, His tenderness toward my needs, His understanding of my deep need for Fatherly love through the love of my friends, my husband, and my children."

Thank you so much for what you shared.

Hope you've had a wonderful day!

Happy belated birthday, my dear friend :)...Sounds like you had a wonderful time. This year it will be 'only' my hubby and I celebrating, which I know he will make special :).

Yes, with God all things are possible - dream big, girl. He can make all dreams come true. I have one of Leigh's bags as well and it has my life-verse on it :) - You might want to check out my giveaway next week. A girl can never have too many bags *snicker*...

Thank you so much for joining us this week and sharing your grateful heart with us.

Be blessed today and always.
