Can I steal away a minute of my family time to share two special things with you? Well, humor me, because I'm going to anywho...
My eldest daughter (now 8) spent the past two years growing out her hair with the goal of having it cut for Locks of Love. After many hours of brushing and washing, including crying out the knots and tangles, she finally arrived at the required 10 inches! Yesterday, the almost the whole female clan (my mom and sis, my mom-in-law, and sis-in-law, and our middle daughter--whose enthusiasm for her big sis was awesome!) accompanied this very brave young lady to the hair salon to have her locks cut off out of love for another soul that has lost her locks to chemo or any other cause.
Here's a glimpse of her bravery and beauty, all in the name of love and sacrifice. Boy, do I have a lot to learn from my daughter!

Be sure to check out Locks of Love, and stay tuned for more about love at EG in the New Year!
On another wonderful note, my dear friend Bob has just released his very first CD. I LOVE it! His voice, lyrics, and music are so incredibly precious and profound. Head over to his website, http://bobpadgett.com/home.html, and listen to some of the clips here, http://bobpadgett.com/stereo.html.
Our family has been belting out the lyrics as fast as we can learn them! You can order a CD using the order form on his site, and send payment through the mail, as online orders aren't available yet! Or let me know and I'll get a copy to you somehow!
Here's the lyrics to our favorite song, Tell Them Again...

Tell them the story of the disciples on the sea
How they feared for their lives that gloomy day
Tell them the tale of how He walked upon the waves,
So they’ll never forget the storm obeyed
Tell them the story of that little Sammy boy
How he served in the temple day and night
Tell them the tale of how he heard the voice of God,
So they’ll strain to hear Him call them to the Light
refrain:
Tell them, tell them, tell them again
Tell them, tell them again
So they’ll never, never, never forget
Tell them
Tell them the story of the girl from Bethany
How she bathed Him in perfume that fateful week
Tell them the tale of how she hung upon His words,
So they’ll find their truest calling at His feet
Tell them the story of the son who walked away
How he counted father dead so he could roam
Tell them the tale about his Daddy’s open arms,
So they’ll always know it’s safe to come back home
refrain
Tell them the story of the monster in his chains
How the haunter of the graves was haunted too
Tell them the tale of how He drove that Legion out
So they’ll never forget they can be free
Tell them the story of Mary at the Tomb
Of her desolation, loneliness, her strife
Tell them the tale of how He startled her by name
So they’ll never forget He is alive
