Speaking Topics for Women and Teen Girls…
each topic can be for one session or retreat weekend
Transformation of a Heart • Ezekiel 36:26
Unpacks the dynamic process of a heart check up and teaching the need to trust God, ‘fess up, pursue right living, and practice forgiveness.
Stones of Remembrance • Joshua 4:1-10
Seeing God at work in our lives increases our faith. As we reflect on the times God was our Jehovah-Jireh, we lay down stones of remembrance—stories to share and testify of the work of our God.
Living with a Mission • Proverbs 16:9
A three part series that considers our identity in Christ, the process of writing a mission statement that is based on Scripture with a theme verse, setting goals that focus on Christ's work in our lives, and looking for ways to get rid of the junk in our lives and hearts.
Holy Habits: Living According to the Word • 1 Peter 1:13-25
In this message, we consider how our Coping Habits ought to be replaced by Holy Habits. We unpack the Scriptures and look at the disciplines of the faith for a template of how to live the holy life.
Bringing Holy Back to the Holiday • 1 Peter 1:3-25
This particular message is especially appropriate for sharing at a Christmas event, such as a tea, brunch, or evening fellowship. It highlights portions of Holy Habits while bringing relevancy to the Christmas holiday.
Girls, Guys, and God • Ephesians 5
Teen girls want to know what to do about guys! This message unpacks the ins and outs of being in relationships with others, especially guys, and how to live as women with a singleness for God, no matter what!
Radical Life • Romans 2:3-4
What exactly are we radical for? Are we doing the hard thing, making the right choices, to be radical for God? Or are we just living the comfortable life and coasting through? This message unpacks the call to follow Christ in radical and real ways, admitting that doing the hard thing is really the best thing.
Prayer: Just Do It! • Phil 4:6
Prayer is one of those spiritual disciplines that Christians struggle to understand. We often want prayer to be a more foundational aspect of our walk, but are at a loss for how to do so. God has provided instruction and encouragement through His Word about prayer, and in this discussion we dive into some of those Scriptures to glean ideas for growing in our prayer life.
Set Free • John 8:36 and Psalm 118
Inspired by my own spiritual and life journey, and a perfectly timed illustration of a locust tree wrapped in a vine in my front yard, we look at many Scriptures to see evidence of how God truly sets us free at the point of our salvation and intends for us live free for the rest of our lives. The reality is our sin, and comfort with it, entangles us, keeping our lives from testifying to the work of Christ. We're challenged, through this story, to have our lives be a story of God's faithfulness and power to others.
A Look at Women of the Bible • Proverbs 31 Woman, Mary, Ruth & Naomi
These messages draw out the heart of God through looking closely at a few women in the Bible. With each one, we consider what God was seeking to do in and through each of these women, as well as looking closely at how they responded and impacted the world around them. The take home value is incredibly, providing an example to follow on the way to the cross. Ideally, this message would be presented in four different sessions.
The Journey of a Beautiful Woman • 1 Peter 3:3-6 and Colossians 3:12-17
This message shares my testimony along with the Word, encouraging women to uncovering truth beauty according to the Lord's definition and seeking our full identity in Christ.
Crossroad Challenge • Proverbs 3:5-6 and Matthew 7:13-14
Have you found yourself heading down the wrong path and wondered how you got there? Are you hung up in the decision making process? Do you desire to honor God but continually feel like you dishonor Him instead? This talk will inspire and challenge you in your faith walk, showing you how the narrow road that leads to God's best for your life.

What Others Are Saying…
“With humility and calling, Lisa has poured out her heart over the years to my dorm of 32 girls ranging from ages 12-18. Her transparency and genuine passion to share God's healing grace and power in her life have touched the lives of so many of our girls dealing with issues of abuse, relationships, sex, marriage, abandonment and forgiveness. Her story has been used to penetrate masks and walls and probe the deeper issues of the heart's cry for fulfillment. I highly recommend Lisa as a relevant, heart-felt speaker that will compassionately challenge, encourage, and instill wisdom for young ladies, and woman both single and married.” ~ Amy Helm
"Mrs. Pulliam spoke on issues that, in our society, we are taught to cover up as women and pretend to be perfect and flawless. It was so refreshing to hear her wisdom, as she also is on a journey, growing in her faith with God. She revealed to us a message and testimony that was poignant and relatable to our own stories and struggles. She presented trusting the Lord in a new way, that personally touched my heart, and inspired me to forgive, to not be ashamed of my problems, and to live within God's protection. It, literally, changed my life, and it was the absolute perfect message I needed at this time." ~ Sarah Kratz ‘07
"Lisa allows God to redeem her ashes by sharing how He is working in her life. It was 2 Corinthians 1:4 in action, “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When there are troubles, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” ~ Marie Crandall
"I am so thankful for God giving Lisa all of her life experiences. Aside from my Bible, her writing has been my best devotional. He is allowing me to heal and to get closer to him each day, and Lisa is such a big part of that. Sure, I have lots of Christian friends, but Lisa is special. Special to me, and so special to everyone she is reaching with her words. Thank you!" ~ Alli Miller
"Lisa is a gifted speaker able to inspire, challenge, and connect with all ages. She tells her story with honesty, candor and wisdom, and it is clear that she is eager and open to being a channel for God's love to reach many." ~ Judy Oulund
"Lisa's illustrations were excellent and curriculum, sound and foundational to the faith." ~ Joan Taylor
"I have never been so captivated by a chapel talk before. Often times, I zone out or think about other things, but I found myself hanging onto every word (then again, sitting so close to the speaker helped as well). Hearing her personal experiences, combined with powerful Bible verses, affected me deeply as a teenage girl about to graduate from high school." ~ Nara Shin '09
"It was a blessing to have Lisa speak at our recent Spring Ladies Brunch. She was authentic, biblical, humorous at times, and connected well with her audience. There were numerous comments indicating that her openness in sharing, as well as the topic she chose, ministered on a deeper-than-surface level. I'm confident that God used it to touch hearts and give them a more balanced perspective on what it means to be beautiful in God's eyes." ~ Joyce Musser, Women's Ministry Director
"Lisa was a wonderful speaker with a great story to tell. She was very passionate in her beliefs as she described her personal relationship with Jesus Christ in an inspiring manner, indicating the work done on her heart." ~ Thoughts from some of the ladies attending a luncheon sponsored by Christian Women's Club
"I've heard nothing but positives about retreat - especially about you! They appreciated that you weren't a "finished" product - a work in progress and for your realness and transparency. One our "mid age" (under 50) singles said it was the best retreat she's been to. Kudo's to you for following the Lord's direction and prompting." ~ Marjie Fischer, Retreat Coordinator
"God is so good! I have received numerous positive feedback regarding the Ladies Luncheon and the wonderful guest speaker - you! Some thought you teach a bible study and wanted to know where they could sign up :) Others were so deeply moved. So many, were touched and they were from all walks of life (young, old, new believer, non-believer, mature believer). God truly used you to bless the souls of many." ~ Melodie, Luncheon Coordinator

In the player below, you will find two messages I had the privilege to share. Restored to be a Living Letter, which was an impromptu message I gave at our women's retreat, R3 = Refreshed, Renewed, Restored. Our wonderful speaker was battling a serious chest cold, leaving me to fill in for her, using her notes and the testimony of God's work in my life. The Journey of a Beautiful Woman was a message I shared at a women's tea.
