Thankful Thursday: Set Apart

Today, I'm thankful for the way the Lord speaks through Scripture. For weeks now, I've been hearing God say to me, You've been set apart! The thought has been that I ought to not fit so easily into this world that I seem "normal." In essence, I am "set apart" to testify about God's grace and that should show itself in many ways, not just my words.

This morning, through my Experiencing God study, I was led to a verse in Jeremiah--which I also happen to be reading through slowly.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart..." Jeremiah 1:5
Now I know where the thought came from--Scripture, almost three weeks ago. Not only am I set apart in this world here and now, but since the very day I was formed in the womb. Wow! It is amazing when Scripture become so personal.

Thank you, Lord, for creating me, knowing me, making me, and setting me apart. I pray, Father, that you would continue to speak through your Word to my heart and the hearts of those reading this post today. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Isn't that verse mind-blowing?! But living "set apart" is tough, that's for sure. It's much easier to go with the flow and fit in rather than stick out. This is such a good reminder!

I so agree with your Elisa. There is nothing more thrilling to me when Scripture passages hit me right into the heart and they become personal :)

I was wondering you would care to share with me how you like the Experiencing God study. I know there is an online version of it. Just curious :)

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart again this week with us :) It puts a huge smile on my face...

Blessings to you and yours...

We have an awesome God. None of the gods of the Greeks and Romans was ever purported to have uttered any tender, loving assurance to their followers. But our God is great and mighty fully able to meet all our needs.
