It has been a strange, stretching, and potentially humorous morning, but I'm not laughing yet...
7:05 roll out of bed, pick up a few things around the house on the way to the coffee pot
7:10 power out suddenly goes out, hubby hollers from the bathroom thinking I flipped the switch on him
7:30 settle into my quiet time and soak in this verse...
Acts 14:178:00 power still out, girls hanging with me, pass the time by coloring hair
"Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy."
8:20 Little Miss is crying and my oldest goes to get her, finds spit up in crib
8:25 buzzer for hair goes off, but I'm changing crying and weepy, flaked out twins and stressing over my hair color
8:30 next stage of color in hair, Little Mister lying on floor totally punked out
8:35 hoping the twins are just up on the wrong side of the bed, I use my cell to call Physical Therapy change appointment for later in the day and call Marcia to confirm plan to go to beach
8:50 hop in shower to rinse out color and learn a valuable lesson --> there is not enough hot water left when the when the power is out
8:55 My eldest comes running in that Little Miss has thrown up
8:56 Out of shower, without the conditioning treatment, and still dirty, wrap myself in a towel and cleaning up Little Miss, both of us shivering and bare in the kitchen
9:10 call Marcia to cancel beach
9:15 call Nana to update her on day
9:20 call Mom to see if she can find out about the power
9:40 power back on
9:45 day seems normal almost, again...off to do laundry
9:55 Little Mister throws up
10:00 O, Lord, what is your plan for this day? And what on earth will my hair look like when it is all over?
10:05 SOS sent out for prayer, while all is quiet for the moment
Pray for me to see the humor in all of this and to remember Acts 14:17!!

Oh Boy! How is everyone now?! More importantly, how's the hair looking?!

This too shall pass...
Blessings and Joy,
Debby Ann
I like the new design, even though I miss the old daisy. I know much more about you and your ministry than I did before. It's crisp and easy to navigate. Very good!
hugs and prayers. I know these days all too well!
