Talk about everything. My husband is in the military so this has been key. Even when he was deployed we "talked" it might not have been on the phone or e-mail(didn't have that in the beginning) but I would write real letters & lots of time I would "talk" to his picture. And we talked! We might not have agreed to the how but we both knew we had to do the best we could.

HEHE, I just left a comment for this giveaway on your other blog, LOL.
I'm Shannon been married for almost 8 years and my one, most important tip is COMMUNICATION! You have to talk to each other, honestly and openly, in every situation.

Communication is the key! Honesty and transparency in your relationship is crucial. It also helps to marry your best friend! :) When you both have a solid relationship with Jesus Christ, that is the one "strand" that keeps you connected and can't not be broken!

Hello... My name is Heidi and I've been married to my best friend for 20 years in May. The one thing that I would say is essential in a marriage is indeed good old open honesty and communication & be each other's bestest friend. And we always tell each other each other "I Love You" like a million times a day! ♥ And always kiss each other good-night!
This is my second entry. I posted the button on my sidebar. http://lorenzifamilyblog.blogspot.com/
This is Tricia
I have been married to James for 8 years...
My marriage tip would be to pray together daily... it is very hard to pray with someone when you are upset or angry, so you have to deal with that first... we pray together every morning, even if it means one of us will be late to wherever we have to go (we have not always done this, probably just this past year), and I think we have bonded and grown closer together by spending time in prayer together... it is a precious thing!
And I already have your button on my sidebar!

Our fellowship has encouraged every married couple to use the book, The Love Dare, for the 40 days. At the end of the 40 days we will all meet together in our church building which will be decorated elegantly and served a gourmet meal. We do something of this nature every year about this time. Fireproof and the Love Dare came out at the right time. Some are struggling with all the book has, but are making a good effort. We are believing that marriages will improve and or actually be saved, by their obedience.
