Thankful Thursday: Really!

How can I not participate in Thankful Thursday today and offer my praise up to the Lord for even just a few things. My heart is filled with such gratitude, I am about to burst! Here's why...

1. I thank you, Jesus, for the opportunity to drive the twins and their little friend to preschool today (in order to help out my dear friend), run a few errands, and now land at my mother-in-law's home to get a bit of work done. What a gift from you, Lord, for their school being so near to my mother-in-law's place. Thank you for her! She loves me so much! Thank you, Lord, for loving her, too! Thank you for her kindness in leaving a hot pot of coffee for me and a scrumptious muffin. Thank you for providing her with a great Bible study group this morning.

Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.

2. Thank you Lord, that the choice I made this morning reaped great dividends...and for showing me your will for the time you've given me! The Scriptures my daughter and I read, because of the Holy Spirit's leading, directly related to issues she is having with friends and set her on the right track today to model Jesus' example of seeking to please the Father. AMEN!

By myself I can do nothing...for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

3. Thank you, God, for friends that take the time to tell me that they love me. I am overwhelmed by the way you, Lord, express your love through the hearts of your children. I pray, God, that we would seek ways today to demonstrate your love again and again to those around us.
