I wish I had something uniquely profound to share with you this morning, but all I can say is that the simple act of getting up early in the morning continues to be a precious gift from the Lord. If you have yet to experience it, I encourage you to try. Forget the 5:16 hour and just pick one that is earlier than your usual rising time. Give yourself around 45 minutes. In that time, you should be able to wake up a bit, read a few chapters in your Bible, and pray.
The 5 whatever routine is really a pretty simple concept, but so incredibly valuable as it gives the Lord our full attention and He returns the blessing with filling the soul. It is the difference between pulling up to the gas station to fill up the tank versus dropping in a few bucks every few days hoping you'll have enough to get by.
When you fill up on the Word and your relationship with Jesus each morning, He gives you all you need to get through the day...not just the next few hours. This isn't a trick to jump start your life or get rid of your problems. It is the fuel you need to keep on going.
Matthew 6:33
Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.
