I have a sweet sister in Christ who has rallied a handful of gals within our "real" world community to commit to praying for one another each day of the week. Sweet Anna, an inspiring prayer warrior, scheduled one person per day with a short devotional thought and prayer to guide us through the week. Today is my day, meaning that my sisters will be lifting me up to the Lord using the devo and prayer below. It is just perfect for the place I'm at right now, but I also thought it would inspire and challenge you. I hope you take a moment to fill your name in the blank -- or even the name(s) of your child(ren). God just loves it when we come to Him in prayer with submissive hearts and open hands. Why not take a second to do that right now?
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.” Ecclesiastes 9:10
This is my chance. I know this. I sometimes fixate on this fact. This is my one chance at life here on earth. You have given me this earthly body, this heart for You, and the plans You conceived for my life before it ever began. I pray that my efforts are worthy in Your sight, Lord. When I struggle and strain, let it be for a good cause. Let each and every effort I make be done with sincerity and honor.
Heaven’s glory shimmers in the distance. I look toward it in my heart so I know the way home. But these days of living in full humanity also serve a divine purpose. I am to love You, love others, serve You, serve others, and discover who I am in the process.
Teach _______today to number her days that she might present to You a heart of wisdom. Guide her heart and guard her mind every minute of the day today. Let Your plans be carried out in her life today so that not a minute of her day is wasted, but used to Your glory. Work in her and bless those around her today. Give her a servant’s heart today and give her joy as she serves.
Because of Him,

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing that, and thanks to be woman of God who inspired this idea.
I love this. I think it's wonderful that you know others are praying for you. In my heart today I lifted up quite a few with this prayer including my son, daughter, their spouses and our little grandchildren.
Thank you for this today.
