Welcome to Wordfilled Wednesday! I'm thrilled to be your co-host as I partner again with Amy in this endeavor.
As Amy mentioned last week, Wordfilled Wednesday started over two years ago. What she didn't tell you is why it began, which is a pretty good story that I thought would be fun to share with you. I was knee-deep in dirty laundry, daily diaper duty, and desperately needing an outlet for my home-bound years with infant twins. I had just started my first blog, The Laundry Alternative, when I quickly caught on to the world of memes. I especially enjoyed Works for Me Wednesday, but my sleep-deprived brain struggled to have a new tip on hand each week. That's when the Lord gently nudged me to begin Wordfilled Wednesday. In His grace, He showed me that I didn't need a tip to make my day better, I needed more of Him and His Word and less of everything else.
Wordfilled Wednesday became an opportunity to seek out a Rhema -- a word from the Lord, perfect for meditating on throughout my day -- to post, share, and claim out loud, while I was busy with the work at home. Only a few short months after beginning Wordfilled Wednesday, however, I responded to another nudge from the Lord, challenging me to lay down my blog, giving way for Amy to graciously take over as host. I thank God for her partnership and fantastic hospitality all this time!
Wordfilled Wednesday has been a wonderful experience for so many of us. It has been an opportunity to grow in the Word and also be blessed by the many gifts and talents of God's gals. Some have shared their incredible graphics, others have brought a poignant devotional thought or convicting teaching from the Word, and still others have been able to use it as a call to prayer.
In all of it, God has been honored and hearts have been transformed by the Word.
What a thrill to see how a little step in obedience to the Lord has touched so many. Really, it tickles me from the inside out to realize that one very overwhelmed mommy, desperate for help and turning to the Word for an answer, would be used by the Lord to multiply the number of His women meditating on the Word. I can't say I am any less overwhelmed today than I was two years ago, so I do pray for your patience as I spend time visiting all your posts. I can promise you this: Our devotion to the Word thrills God to eternity and back. Keep it up gals, regardless of how many visits you get, how simple your post is, or how many comments you get to make in a day. Just do it for Jesus, and relish the blessing of knowing Him through the Word today!

Enjoy your Wordfilled Wednesday visits today. See you at Amy's next week!
