Have you ever been in a season of indescribable busyness, pulled in a thousand good directions? Have you ever felt distant from God, even though you are going through the motions of the relationship with Him and continue to be in service to Him?
That's where I am right now. This verse reminds me that the one thing I must do is Be Still -- somehow, someway to be still both in my soul and in my actions -- so that I may know Him. From that place, I will be able to hear His voice and heed His call.
I pray for a stillness of the Lord for all of us today. May we soak in His Word and allow it to still us from the inside out!
There won't be a Mister Linky, as it has been acting up and corrupting blogs recently. Please leave a comment with a link to your WFW post! It would also be great if you would enable your blog profile to show on your name when you leave a comment, this way we can find your blog if your link is broken: Go to dashboard -> edit profile -> check the first box to share profile -> save. (And while you are there, you can check the "show email" box so that your comments can be replied to by email.) Thanks!
Remember, the purpose of Wordfilled Wednesday is to share God’s Word, (no famous quotes or other literature — only the beautiful word of our Father) through a photo or graphic rendering with a Bible verse! Anything that does not fit this description will be removed.
Please join us at Amy's next week!

Thank you for the reminder. The best way to do when we are so soaked into busyness. Be still and know that He is God.

It's a picture of a baby elk that was calved right outside my Uncle's door up against their house! Amazing! And I added a passage in Job about the birth of mountain goats.

Being still before the Lord is so very important. I know I often miss out on many blessings because of my failure to be still in His presence. Thanks for sharing this with us today.

It is in the quiet that we hear Him the most! Hope you will visit my site for my post this week.
Being still. That's the hard part. I KNOW that he is God. But I have a hard time with the still part.
Karin.

It's always a good exercise to be still and remember that God is in control.

Have a Happy WFW!
Silly old Mr Linky..we pray that you will be fixed and not obstruct us in keeping up with each other. We ask this in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I love this verse.
If I have only one verse to remember when I am old I hope it will be this one. It is the answer to so many things.
What does it take us to "Be still"
What does it take for us to KNOW that HE IS GOD
Wow......what more do we as the redeemed know.
I guess I hope I can remember John 3.16 to pass on to others, but this is my verse.
I like the one that goes with it that says, "sit still my daughter and see how the matter will fall out"
Would have to do a good old King James search for the reference to that one(Ruth 3:16) I got convicted......but the other one in the trilogy is "In quietness and confidence shall be your strength" Isa30.15

This is one of my favorite verses. I have it on the window sill above my kitchen sink. It is something I need to be reminded of often. Thanks for hosting WFW! I hope you have a great Wednesday!
