BLESSED Resources for Women's Ministry

BLESSED

Welcome to BLESSED, a little part of Extravagant Grace set aside to offer resources and ideas to women's ministry leaders. As I dig deep into my second year serving on the women's ministry team at my church, followed by two years co-leading Women with a Mission, I feel the time has come to share the materials I've gathered and created with you. I can't wait to share a whole series of BLESSED materials, since this is the theme for my own church's women's ministry and something I think will be of great benefit to you!

The Lord has put it on my heart for some time to encourage other leaders. It is hard work, my friends. Finding new ideas that focus on leading women to the heart of God, as they take their next step in their faith, is quite a challenge. So much of what is available focuses on fellowship and fun, as opposed to growth and accountability. There needs to be a balance of both. As I learn through trial and error, I hope to share this journey with you! I pray you'll join me!

Be sure to keep an eye out for the BLESSED button in future posts to signify a women's ministry resource! Let's watch God grow it together!

Be blessed, and become a blessing!

I'd love to hear from you!

Are you involved in women's ministry at your church or in your community? Are you doing ministry work online? What works? What doesn't? What's your best advice? What online resource have you found most valuable? When you have a moment, leave a comment below! Can't wait to hear from you!

ms. lisa I assume the Blessed button is supposed to lead us to resources on photobucket but I have no idea how to access them. If you could help me I would so appreciate it.

You are so right that there seems to be more information how to socialize with each other than grow together. I am the WMU director of our church this year (a position I have held some years ago in various churches). I use my blog as an on-line ministry, but my family church women really don't visit it. I've recently set up a yahoo group just for our church and it's slowly starting to take shape.

What I'm finding is that our younger ladies really don't know about missions and the history behind what we do. So this year our entire church has decided that education is a key focus. But then once education...they teach themselves. It's time to graduate from Sunday School!
