It's a Prayer Day!

Extravagant Grace

Sweet friends, join me in prayer today! Set aside 5, 10, or even 15 minutes to open your heart to the Lord and share your concerns. Make this focused time, spent in prayer only. Lock yourself in the bathroom or your bedroom, if need be. Take a walk alone and talk to God. If the little ones are running around, set them up with some play dough fun. You'll get at least 5 minutes out of that!

If you have trouble concentrating, like I do, grab a journal and write out your prayers. But don't get caught up in the "writing"-- unless that is your pleasure! Sometimes my prayers are just lists of concerns the Lord has allowed to touch my heart. I find the more I ache for a person or need, the louder God is calling me to intercede in prayer on their behalf.

Most of all, fill a portion of your time in praising God for who He is and confessing to the Lord the ways you've sinned against Him. Use this prayer day not only for the benefit of others, but for restoration of your relationship.

Lisa,
Though I wasn't aware of today's Prayer Day emphasis until this afternoon, I did actually spend some extra focused time in prayer this morning. What a privilege to know that Our Heavenly Father hears us!
Blessings,
Wendy
