Remember when I wrote about this difficult situation in my life. Well, I still can't share it with you for many reasons, but I have such peace in the silence because the Lord has shown me the sweetness of turning to Him with my burdens. It has been an amazing few weeks, in that regard, because I've had to lay it all down at the cross and trust the Lord entirely. Not only that, but because this is much bigger than anything else my husband and I have faced together, it is drawing us to the Lord in prayer together -- something we should have been doing regularly for the past 14 years.
In spite of our circumstances, there are still reasons to praise God--actually too many to count! We can praise God for bringing us to our knees now and drawing us closer to Him. All this is possible because of Jesus' blood shed on behalf of our sins, covering us and making us acceptable before God. Jesus opens the door to a personal relationship with our Creator, Maker, and Father. Do you realize what this means? We get to approach the God of the Universe in the same way a child, full of faith, approaches their mother or father. Yet how many of shrink away, treating God like some sort of wicked ruler?
Friends, don't wait for the crisis in your life to draw you to the Lord. Approach Him now, on your knees, and soak in the presence of your loving, Heavenly Father. Petition and praise. Adore and ask. Repent and respond. Be renewed and restored by the love of our One and Only.
By His Grace & Mighty Power,

Lisa...I will be praying for you...ANYTHING (good or bad) that drives us to our knees at the foot of His Cross is good for us. His grace is MORE than sufficient in our times of need...may His grace and love pour down upon you!
In Him,
Cherie
What a beautiful response to a difficult circumstance. We all have our own challenges in life and yet ...I thank you for sharing how you and your hubby respond. You draw close to the Lord and pray. It reminds me of the old hymn "Everything to God in prayer".
A wonderful reminder for me! Thank you friend.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
PS I'm off to pray!
Joining you in praising and praying.

Why is it so hard sometimes to be still before Him and let Him do what only He can do?
I have a tendency to try and help God fix things.
Not a good idea.
So glad that you sense His presence and involvement in this situation.
Sweet dreams.
Thank you for your Gracious invitation to pray today. I have been far from the Lord myself lately- and prayer itself to me was a burden. I am greatful to God for His Grace and His Mercy upon my life; especially in the times that I don't hold these things close He continues to pour them into my life making His presence and Glory known.
I'm enjoying reading your blog- I know God has used you touch the lives of those who read His word here. What a tremendous blessing you are in bringing God honor with what you do.
I was encouraged here to both praise and pray today. And I took the opportunity to do so - Thank you.
I pray the LORD's peace, wisdom, comfort and headship in you and your hubby's entire situation. I praise the LORD for His Hand being seen in the midst of it all.
Hugs and love.
It IS amazing that we can approach Him, isn't it? I think God gets our attention in our trials. So thankful that you are enjoying His comfort.
